Our family-owned business serves barbecue, burgers, tenderloins, and other sandwiches along with sides! Not to mention, the best ice cream in town! We are located fifty feet off of the Wabash Trail at 13996 Wabash Ave, Council Bluffs, IA.
THEN
Tastee Treet was built in 1955. At that time, the resturant was just a walk-up-to-window style service. There was no inside seating; only a window to take your order and a few picnic tables surrounding the outside of the building to eat.
NOW
In 1997, the old building was torn down and a new, log cabin-style building was built. The current building provides seating inside for 25 people. There are a few picnic tables outside, under a covered roof, with a view of the Wabash Trace Nature Trail.

Megan Hastie is the current owner of Tastee Treet. Megan has been working at Tastee Treet since she was 13 years old, working alongside her father, Larry McKern, the owner since 1986. In 2021, Megan took the business over from her father, keeping Tastee Treet in the family for over 36 years!
